This October we will be attending the ICU world championships in Wales where Shihan Brian, Sensei Nathan and Ben Alexander will be representing team England.
We are very pleased to announce Rapidrop who are Peterborough based company will be supporting them on their journey.
Here are some words from Owen @ rapidrop.com
"As a business Rapidrop always supports anyone in the business with their own interests if it helps, but it is not often we are asked to support one of our team who are competing in a world championships.
So when Nathan Evans informed us he had been selected to compete in this years ICO Karate and Kick-boxing World Championships we wanted to help out.
Anyone who has been involved in martial arts or any sport at the highest level will understand the commitment and hard work needed to achieve the highest levels. The hours of training, let alone the investment to compete and with martial arts, at the moment, do not attract large sponsorship.
Therefore, every individual athlete has to raise their own sponsorship to cover the costs of competing and we were able to help Nathan and his team mates out.
Nathan's club, #Torikai Martial Arts is lead by Shihan Brian Whatford and based in Peterborough. As a coach, Brian is one of the most respected in the UK and coaches with the #ICO (International Combat Organisation). This year, four members of the club have been selected to compete for England at the ICO World Championships and are now in the final two months of training before the event.
Nathan and his team mates work ethic, their perseverance and commitment with their sport reflects our values as a business.
Hopefully this will be the start of another chapter for Nathan, one that we can continue to support.
Watch this space to see how he gets on in his training and at the tournament."
